Sparth FC, who were victorious in many football tournaments, received their new football strip in 2007, funded by St Vincent's Housing Association. Sparth FC punished teams like Deeplish FC and Wardle All Stars in the past - this team was unbeatable, but time has now past, and the torch has been passed on to the younger generation. The stars of Sparth FC have move on: two players who featured in this team, Esrar Ali Khan and Zahid Karamat, now play in a Bury league, and Zahid is also part of the Wardleworth FC team, which play on Sundays.
