The area of Sparth can trace its history back 300 million years ago, even before dinosaurs roamed the earth. In Prehistoric Sparth the land was covered with tropical swamps and alongside these grew huge leafy plants. Underneath the vegetation many types of ancient insects and animals lived including Sparth's own unique scorpion 'Eoscorpius Sparthensis'. As plants and animals died their bones became buried under the ground these remains then go through changes over millions of years to create fossils.
